How up to date are these prices?
We check Fuel Finder every 5 minutes. By law, forecourts must report a price change to Fuel Finder within 30 minutes, so each station shows when its price last changed. A few forecourts come from retailers' own feeds, which we fetch every 30 minutes.
Why is my local station missing?
Every UK forecourt must report to Fuel Finder, but a few have not registered yet, and forecourts closed for three days or more are left out. The source status table shows what we received at our last check.
Is E10 or E5 petrol cheaper?
E10 (standard unleaded). In today's data, super unleaded (E5) averages 190.3p against 173.6p for E10: 16.7p more per litre, or about £9.19 more on a 55-litre tank.
What we cover
8,337 forecourts (1020 brands). 8,061 come from Fuel Finder, the UK government's statutory fuel price service, which every forecourt must report price changes to within 30 minutes. Another 276 come from open retailer feeds (Asda, SGN, Motor Fuel Group and Esso) for forecourts Fuel Finder does not list yet. If a price is wrong, report a discrepancy to Fuel Finder or tell us.
